Beach Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham - Most of the houses on the left side were destroyed in the Second World War, they were replaced with Maisonettes and a seven storey 'Tower Block' (Longlands House) - that was demolished circa 2002. Most of the houses on the right survived the blitz, but were demolished and replaced with new ones circa 2002.

The Brasshouse - Built in 1781, this building is the only remaining part of a brass foundry that was built to manufacture brass in Birmingham, this was to halt the need to transport raw brass from elsewhere. It is now a bar and restaurant, one of many along Broad Street. The left picture shows what was a brewery in the background, that was demolished (along with other buildings) to make way for Symphony Hall (right picture).

Five Ways House, Islington Row (now Islington Row Middleway) - Photo taken from Bath Row. Built in 1956/57 to house various government departments, it now houses the Disability Benefit Centre (assessments), and Department of Work and Pensions.
